mockery of justice and undue partisanism by Minority Commission

A CASE FOR MINORITY COMMISSION?

It refers to merciless beating by public followed by dragging a chain-snatcher by a policeman with his motor-bicycle in Bhagalpur (Bihar), that too in full view of TV cameras. The incident is indeed horrible, and responsible police-persons did deserve exemplary punishment. It was also justified that National Human Rights Commission promptly took cognisance of the incident. But it was not proper that National Minority Commission intervened in the episode to unnecessarily to give the uneasy incident a communal colour only because the beaten-up chain-snatcher belonged to minority-group. Such an incident could be there with any thief irrespective of his religion. Rather such uncalled interference by National Minority Commission can result in outburst of religious hatred amongst different communities.
